| Drill Press |
A drill press is almost indispensable in a shop, no matter what you are doing.

I bought a Rockwell (just Rockwell, not Delta) bench top drill press, back in the early sixties, without a motor.

My dad had recently had a couple of motors replace in his house AC, and said I could have one if it worked.

So I took a 1/3 HP home and tried to run it, the centripetel swith was bad, I was able to kluge it back into a workable shape, and voilla, I had a 1/3 HP motor.

I mounted it on the drill press, added aline cord, and bougt a shiv and belt, now I had a working drill press.

I used that thing for about 30 years, then I bought a benchtop Delta and gave the old Rockwell to my oldest son, who, last time I was in his garage, is still using it.
