Modifying a Rockler Drill Press Fence to fit a Jet 17"

I wanted to add dust collection to my drill press and I ocassionally need a fence to orient drilling operations.   I have a 17" Jet floor model drill press which has a nice table with tee tracks running front to back down each side.   So I bought a Rockler Drill Press Fence and modified it to fit my Jet's tee tracks.

Jet 17's table as I received it.   You can see the two tee tracks on each side running front to back.

Rear view of the fence installed on my Jet.   You can see the star knobs holding the tee bolts in the Jet's tee tack.

The fence came with a slot on each side for tee tracks in the Rockler DP Table but that didn't fit the Jet.   I had to cut a couple of slots inside the others to fit.   The new slots are 5/16" by a littl over 1" wide.

Closer look at old and new slots from the bottom of the fence's aluminum frame piecs.   I drilled three 5/16" holes, 3/8" apart, in line with the original slots, and centered 11-1/4" apart to match the Jet's tee tracks.   Then I sawed out and filed the holes into slots so a 5/16" tee bolt would move smoothly from side to side.
I could have just drilled a single 5/16" hole on each side but the slot gives me a little more lee way when moving or removing the fence.

Bottom of the fence, you can see the tee bolts sticking through.
