When I open the fir downs above the tubs, for storage, I need to make the doors as large as possible since the storage will be deep. The original bathroom exhaust vent cover will obstruct the doors when opened, so I decided I need to make some that are closer to flush with the ceiling.

The top side, you can see the air slot around the edge and the two hooks, center right and left to hold the spring that retains it to the fan housing. |

The spring catches, the ring is captured by the hook on the cover, the ears at the other end go in a narrow slot in the fan housing. |
